Why I left Oracle Apprenticeship for Startup Job
This is one of the big decision of my life to drop Oracle offer for Startup, what is Oracle Apprenticeship and why I opt startup job. Let’s talk it in detail.
What is Oracle Apprenticeship
Every year Oracle conduct Apprenticeship program for newly Graduates in India where the condition is you have to be graduate for the program. It’s a 1 year apprenticeship where you work with highly motivated people working for Oracle. Btw it’s paid program. And after completing one year you have to go through their exam process for Full time job offer and you package will be 6x your stipend.

A little breif myself I have done my B.tech from Tier-3 college. And I was applying for Job in Bangalore.
How many Rounds of Interview happens
- Online Aptitude.
- Written test of Coding Question.
- First Technical interview on Coding Question basis.
- Second Technical interview more on Data Structure and Algo.
Basically only 1 round happened separately others happens in their Offices which you have applied for.
How to apply
Every Oracle post Apprenticeship program in Sept.. You jsut go to their portal and apply for it. Process is Simple you apply in it and then a 3rd party exam conductor mail will come to you. Give Aptitude, if you clear it you will get mail for the are you have applied for let’s say Bangalore. You will be called to their Oracle office for further interviews.
How many Interns they Select
For the interview they call 120 candidates in their respective office and then they select 30 for their respect office all over India.
Main Question Why I left
I have cleared Interview process, but I also had a Job offer from a Startup for full time role. All my Family members were saying to go to Oracle, it’s big and in tech world everyone knows who is Oracle.
But I have done one startup of my own and wanted to learn more about the functionality of Startup how things work there. That’s why I go against my parents and go to Startup world. And that’s how I started my Journey.
